Computer Science teaches students how to be innovative and how to solve problems & develop programs.
The Department of computer science offers excellent curriculum exclusively designed for students to have
successful careers in the IT industry. Our specialized curriculum provides students with hands-on training in
sophisticated laboratories and equip them with the advanced skills in IT spectrum.
The Department aims at providing the students with Software Skills in different Programming Languages, Operating
Systems, Networking, Hardware Peripherals, Data Base Management and software testing. Students are also
taught latest technologies like Mobile Communication, Web Design, Network Security, cloud computing and
multimedia.
Provides opportunities to undertake live Projects as a part of meeting curriculum needs.
Higher Studies :
After successful completion of Diploma, Karnataka students can take admission to third semester BE, third semester BCA/B.Sc

Departmental Activities During 2022-23
- A Peer-to-Peer Interaction with RIT Final Year Students on FSD was organized for one month through offline &
Online in Oct and Nov month 2023. Dr. Parkavi ,RIT, Dr.Sangeetha,RIT and B.S.Usha,HOD-CS,RP were Co-ordinators. - An Industrial tour to Ms.Integra Micro Software Services Pvt.Ltd.,was organized on 11th and 12th Oct 2023 for Final Year Students.
- An Industrial tour to M/s.Indian Tech Keys was organized on 27-10-2023 for Final year students.
- An Institutional Visit to Ramaiah Institue of Technology was organized on 13th Oct 2023 for
Second Year Students on Computer Networking.. - Workshop on Cyber Security was conducted on 22/9/23 and 23/9/23 in RIT
- Online webinar was organized on Cyber Security on 27/9/23
- A Guest lecture was organized for I year and II year students on 13/2/2024 on cloud computing by Mr.Shankar. IISC & TA.RP.
- A Guest lecture was organized for I year and II year and III year students on the Logic Applications of AI & ML in Retail & E-Commerce by Mr.Ashwin.
- Final year students are pursuing Internship in the stream Full stack development and Cyber Security in various companies
like Integra Micro Software Services Pvt.Ltd, Aivolved Technologies, Airobosoft, Saira & 24/7.ai
